INDEPENDENT Community Banking

Independence is important to a community bank like ours. We are so grateful for the many freedoms we enjoy as Americans and for the men and women who protect those freedoms. We are grateful that we live in a country that supports entrepreneurship and the right to pursue the American Dream. We are also grateful to be part of Village Bank where we get to help entrepreneurs achieve that dream.

Being an independent community bank means that our employees are committed to building relationships within the communities we live and work. Practically, that means all of Village Bank’s funds travel in and through those same communities to bolster the vitality of local businesses.

With so many stories of community banks being acquired by the “big guys,” our Village remains independent and strong. We have plans to grow in these communities, not to become a bank in which the customers we see every day are only dollar signs. Rather, our customers are owners of the local garden center, a high school graduate planning for college, a veteran returning from active duty to his family, and the elementary school principal.

The freedom to bank where you feel valued is one to take pride in in preserving.

Village Bank’s independence is one thing that makes it stronger than competitors. As we celebrate the freedoms and independence we’ve been blessed to have as Americans, we also celebrate the independence to invest our hard-earned money in businesses that work hard too.

Happy Independence Day!
