Grinding #STRONG21

A Year To Grind Some Gears

In April of last year, owners of All Around Precision Grinding, Robert (Bob) Smieja and Anthony Tadych, experienced something they never foresaw. The building they had rented for their precision grinding shop for years was put up for sale without their knowledge. Suddenly, they were scrambling to relocate. All Around Precision Grinding is a small precision grinding “job shop” that produces many types of parts including gun bolts and selector switches. As you can imagine, the shop uses expensive, heavy equipment that proves difficult to move.

A Helping Hand

Bob Smieja had worked with Kelley Vantassel, Senior Relationship Banker, at the Village Bank East Bethel office for years. She had helped him with personal banking matters along with business accounts from a previous company that Bob had owned. Anthony also started banking with Village Bank 25 years prior to inquiring about the shop loan. Ultimately, when Bob and Anthony needed help securing a building for their shop, Kelley referred the owners to Kraig Kliber, SVP Commercial Banker – Market Leader.

They felt the pressure biting at their heels to move fast—the owners had 30 days to vacate. Kraig reassured the owners that they had nothing to worry about. He would partner with them to find financing for a new building.

Not Just a Bank, a Business Partner

Kraig knew of a building he thought would be perfect for All Around Precision Grinding due to some connections he had. Bob and Anthony thought the building was just as perfect for their needs as Kraig had suspected. Ultimately, with the help of some connections and an SBA 504 loan, the business owners secured and were able to buy a building that fit their business needs just in the nick of time.

Kraig told the Co-owners of All Around Precision Grinding not to worry. They put their trust in him, and are very glad that they did so. Kraig handled most of the SBA loan paperwork and process on his ownS21 - All Around Precision Grinding. In fact, the process was completed in 30 days—one day later and the pair would have found themselves out of business. The owners were also glad to receive 6-months of free payments with their SBA 504 loan.

"Kraig Kliber helped us out. We managed to close on our SBA 504 loan in 30 days and were able to get the building just in time. It was fantastic. Kraig helped us get our loan and get it moved ahead," said Anthony Tadych.

Relationship Banking with Village

The Village Bank employees are friendly and nice according to the owners of All Around Precision Grinding; they seem to know exactly who Bob and Anthony are as soon as they walk through the door. Bob and Anthony have enjoyed banking with Village Bank both for personal accounts and business accounts. They feel like they are part of a Village at Village Bank.

"I would recommend Village Bank to anyone because we've had such luck with them. They're helpful in any way they can be," mentioned Anthony.
