Village Bank is a local community bank that over the past 20 years has allowed me to access the resources, loans, or financial assistance I need during all phases of personal and business life and has always done so with a personal touch.

What does FAMILY-BUILT mean to you?

I think about love. I think about support, and then I think about longevity, tradition, and legacy. Those are the kind of words that come to my mind when I think about family-built. Families are there for each other and they're all working, in a community effort, to grow and thrive.

What does COMMUNITY-STRONG mean to you?

Community to me is collaboration. It means interaction, and it means support. When I think about Community Strong, I think about the old saying “it takes a village to raise a child.” Community Strong is about how we all work together toward something that we envision as the place we want to live, work, and play.

What do you value about COMMUNITY BANKING?

Local banking brings a personal touch because of the relationships that are created. We’ve been losing that touch, and we’ve been experiencing more of the corporate banking. I grew up in a service-related retail environment, and because of that, I understand the importance of having relationships. As a local business owner for 20 years and an advocate for local businesses now, I believe the relationships I created with my customers built my business and helped me succeed. Those relationships make a difference.

What I really value about Village Bank as a community bank is that they're always part of the community. They're everywhere. You consistently see them at the ball fields, you see them in the parks, they show up in so many different areas of the community. Whenever there is something happening that requires interaction in the community, you can always bet that someone from Village Bank will be there. I think that is so important, and I do appreciate that. That is what I call leadership and being a community leader.
